Message from the President
Dear fellow scientists, students, and all participants of the PACCON 2023,
On behalf of Mae Fah Luang University, I would like to welcome you all to the Pure and Applied Chemistry International Conference 2023 or in short, PACCON 2023. This event is held on 20 - 21 January 2023 with the theme of “Chemical Diversity Towards Sustainable Development Goals”. Moreover, we are very honored and thankful to our co-host, the Chemical Society of Thailand, for providing us with this wonderful opportunity.
In 2023, it is a special occasion that we will also celebrate the 25th anniversary of Mae Fah Luang University. For the past 25 years, we have produced many high-quality scientific research outputs in Fungal, Natural Products, especially Thai Herb, and Sustainable Materials, from basic research to innovation. We have been ranked as one of the top institutions by Scimago Institutions Rankings (SIR) for many years. In 2022, we have received the honor of being ranked number one in the area of Chemistry in Thailand. (www.scimagoir.com)
PACCON 2023 is a great opportunity for fellow scientists to share and explore - new updates, discoveries, and innovations in the field of chemistry. We believe that everyone attending the PACCON is sharing the same dream and is eager to work together - in achieving a better and more sustainable future. We are honored to have three distinguished plenary lectures: Prof. Dr. David W.C. MacMillan, Nobel Laureate in Chemistry 2021, Princeton University, USA; Prof. Dr. Raymond J. Andersen, University of British Columbia, Canada, Prof. Dr. Paul D. Topham, Aston University, United Kingdom and Prof. Dr. Purnendu K. Dasgupta, The University of Texas at Arlington, USA.
I am certain that all participants would receive new knowledge, meet new friends with mutual interests, and valuable new challenges for your field of work. This will definitely create strong collaboration networks. And last but not least, I would like to welcome you all to visit our home in Chiang Rai province - which is enriched in northern Thai-Lanna culture, arts and historical landmarks.
